Is it November already? WOW!!! Time sure flies!

Well, I haven't posted anything recently, because it seemed that things were still progressing slowly, and I didn't think you would want to look at the same pictures. :) But, I think enough time has gone by now to update you all!

Since I last posted, we have gotten our drywall put up and textured! YAY!!! That was a week and a half long process! You can see in some of the pictures that it looks leaps and bounds better! Dare I say...It looks ALMOST finished?! lol...

Anyway, Chris has spent time cleaning up the mantel and installing our new fireplace! He has great ideas on how to make it look awesome! But, right now, it is still only concrete board.

He has started trimming out all the doors and windows. He has also started putting in the wainscott. It looks better and better every day that I go up there! As soon as all the trim is done, we will start painting! Now THAT is exciting!

Meanwhile, the outside of our house has continued to throw curve balls left and right! Between the paint not sticking to the trim boards and having to pressure spray and repaint only to have the primer fail on us, it has taken at least 3 times as long to get just the trim painting done! (We are thankful that the siding is prepainted at this point!) Bless our painter!!!!

As I type, our new roof is being layed on! It is about 2 weeks behind our "forseen" schedule, but so far, it is going good!

We are still looking forward to the siding going on, which should be within the next week and a half! Yahoo!

Our wood floors are being delivered tomorrow! However, our floor installer isn't available until Thanksgiving week. So, by the middle of December, we should have new floors!!! Now THAT is VERY exciting! Chris will be working to finish up the trim and paint so that the floors can be installed on time!

After the floors are installed, the tile will start making its way into the bathrooms! (Oh to have a bathtub again!)

Last Sunday, we spent all day fogging out the mass amounts of Maple Bugs that had started to take over the house! We are happy to report that all we have are DEAD Maple Bugs now! *big grin*

We hope that all is going well in your homes! It is the season for lots of JOY!!! We are Joyful EVEN in the midst of mass construction!!! *big wink*

Blessings!
